Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

DCU Watchlist (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Site, how it is used, and the choices available to you. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

1. Your watchlist and preferences

No account is required. Watched and skipped titles, episode progress, your schedule, the Journal’s selected journey and your display preference are saved in your browser. The site does not send this saved watchlist information to an account or synchronise it between devices.

2. Your choices and backups

Use Clear saved data in the planner to remove watch progress and the schedule. To also remove display and journey preferences, clear this website’s data in your browser settings. Export progress backup lets you keep or transfer your progress and schedule; protect that file if you share your device. Closing a private browsing session or clearing site data can remove saved information.

3. Images, fonts and trailers

Pages load film artwork and credits from TMDB and fonts from Google. Trailer players use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. Requests to these services can disclose connection information, such as your IP address and browser details. Loading or playing a trailer may involve further processing by YouTube under its own policies.

See TMDB’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy, which also covers YouTube.

4. Cookies and measurement

With your permission, DCU Watchlist uses Google Analytics to understand visits and on-site interactions so we can improve the guide. Google Analytics may process device and browser details, approximate location and activity on the Site, and may store a first-party _ga identifier. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled.

Until you choose Allow analytics, analytics storage is denied. Your choice is saved in this browser and can be changed at any time.

Google’s handling of Analytics data is described in its data safeguards and Privacy Policy.

5. Contacting us

If you email us, the information you choose to send, including your address and message, is used to respond to your enquiry. Do not include sensitive information or information about children. We do not sell your personal information.

6. External websites

News headlines and other external links take you to independent websites. Their privacy policies apply to your visits there.

7. Privacy requests

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or receive personal information we hold, or to object to or restrict its use. Use the Contact page for enquiries. We cannot remotely access or delete the watchlist saved in your browser; use the controls described above.

8. Policy updates

We will revise this page when our information practices change and show the revision date above.
