Gotham Knights
Hated. Hunted. Heroes.
In the aftermath of Bruce Wayne's murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.
Why it matters in DC
Bruce Wayne's death leaves a group connected to both him and his enemies facing a shared accusation. The premise makes Gotham's future depend on people outside its usual heroic partnership, offering a separate legacy story rather than the next chapter of another Batman series.

How these titles are selected
Story prerequisites are curated. Likely prerequisites are inferred from sequel numbering or explicit synopsis references. Recommendations are earlier stories in the same continuity; background picks are separate adaptations. Series lists cover whole shows, not an episode-by-episode watch order.
Where it fits in the DC universe
Gotham Knights is title 21 of 24 in our Live-action Elseworlds viewing sequence. Gotham Knights begins from its own circumstances after Bruce Wayne's death and follows a new group drawn into Gotham's conflict. It is not a sequel to Gotham, despite the overlapping city and character connections. The Batman films likewise do not establish the precise history assumed by this separate television premise.
